Education & experience:

Dr Goodman was born in Surrey, which is where he went to school. He qualified as a doctor in 2008 from King’s College London School of Medicine. During his studies he completed a BSc degree in Physiology, focusing on Maternal and Fetal Health. As a medical student, he undertook elective periods of study in Mental Health (Barbados) and Women’s Health (Uganda).

Following graduation, he worked in Kent and Sussex for two years as a Foundation Doctor on Surgical and Medical Hospital Wards and was awarded a certificate of Merit by the South Thames Foundation School. He then worked in Basingstoke and Portsmouth as a Women’s Health Hospital Doctor from 2010 until 2014. During this time, he presented at both International and National conferences as well as contributing to several publications.

Thereafter, Dr Goodman decided to pursue a career in General Practice, largely due to the rewarding nature of the continuity of care that this field offers. His GP training included rotations in Community Mental Health and Integrated Elderly Care.

Dr Goodman has been a GP Trainer since 2020 and loves teaching. He has received excellent feedback from all the trainees he has supervised to date. He was awarded with a Post Graduate Certificate in Medical Education with Merit from the University of Winchester in 2021.

Dr Goodman has a breadth of experience from working in Women’s Health, Elderly Care, Medical Wards, Surgical Wards, Community Mental Health and Primary Care.
